The Jaguar XF has beaten off competition from the Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Volvo S80 and BMW 5 Series to scoop the Fleet News Award 2010 for Best Executive Car.
The jusges commented, "The XF was seen as the most aspirational fleet car on the market. Its new 3.0-litre diesel engine has made it stand out in its sector. Its improved emissions, fuel economy and lower running costs, combined with huge driver appeal, makes it a winner."
Jaguar has succeeded in creating a true premium product in its XF saloon with high levels of standard equipment and a range of six and eight-cylinder models. Leather seats, Sat-Nac, rear parking sensors and Bluetooth help increase the desirability of the XF as an aspirational vehicle and contribute towards impressive residual values. New 3.0-litre diesel versions launched in 2009 offer a great blend of performance and fuel efficiency and keep running costs ata manageable level. The XF is engaging to drive but also provides excellent comfort and refinement, seeming to shrink huge distances behind the wheel.
