XK Legendary Performance

In 1948, Jaguar created what would become one of the most famous automotive names in the world, as the all-new and highly advanced XK engine made its debut in the revered XK120 sports car. Now to celebrate the 60th anniversary of that iconic car, Jaguar has launched a special addition to the XK range, the aptly named XK60. The XK60 is a special edition available in the UK only and pays homage to the legendary performance of its predecessors.

Like every Jaguar to carry the XK badge, the XK60 is all about performance with style – plus a large helping of individuality. And as the XKR Portfolio and XKR-S Special Editions brought something extra to the supercharged XK models, the XK60 offers its own spin on the naturally aspirated 4.2 litre V8 XK, in both coupé and convertible forms.

Performance Style

The XK60 offers performance styling including dramatic 20" Senta alloy wheels, a sporty alloy gear knob and selector-gate surround, plus distinctive body enhancements: a new front spoiler and rear valance panel, chrome finished side vents and bright upper and lower front grille meshes, special tailpipe finishers and sill appliqués on both sides of the car. To celebrate the 60th anniversary Jaguar are offering all of this at no additional cost.

XK on the Podium

Originally conceived by Sir William Lyons in 1948, the XK has powered Jaguar´s sporting pedigree and won Le Mans an impressive seven times. Perhaps the most famous of which was in 1955 when the iconic D-TYPE took first place as well as dominating other great endurance races such as the Rheims 12 Hours. The D-TYPE went on to win again in 1956 and 1957 – cementing the XK engines legendary performance reputation.
